What does MFL look like at St. Andrew's?
Curriculum Intent
Learning a different language provides an opening to other societies and increase understanding of the wider world which is an important skill in a multi-cultural environment. Through studying another language, children learn how to respond to its speakers and how to express their thoughts and ideas in a different way. In addition, it provides opportunities to find out how people live in another part of the world. At St Andrew’s, we intend to encourage children’s curiosity of the wider world by providing opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills of a language by delivering an engaging curriculum to support and deepen their learning.
